Takashi Murakami: The Deep End of the Universe
2. What is the theme of the exhibition?
Colorful abstract paintings.

Step 2:
1. What type of lighting is used?
Bright white lights
2. What colors are used on the walls?
White
3. What materials are used in the interior artchitecture of the space?
There were columns
4. How is the movement of the viewer through the gallery space?
For the most part there was not one picture that anyone passed by or overlooked. The viewers seemd to really be intrigued by the pieces in the exhibit. 

Step 3:1. How are the artworks organized?
The two paintings on the right hand an left side were various paintngs side by side that looked like one big painting.
2. How are the artrworks similar?
They are similar in color and aesthetic
3. How are the artworks different?
Each picture is of something different
4. How are the artworks framed?
They aren't in a frame they were positioned together to look like one big painting
5. How are the artworks identified and labeled?

6. What is the proximity of the artwork to each other?
Various paintngs side by side that looked like one big painting.

Matisse and Picasso  An art collector by the name of Gertrude Stein arranged for Matisse and Picasso to meet. Little did she know that them meeting would influence the entire dynamic of modern art. Video #1 When looking at marble statues it never came to mind the amount of thus artist have to take into consideration before creating the piece. For example,  how fragile the marble might be, h ow resistant is it to changing whether climates (is it going to be indoor or outdoor?), or how far will the marble extend so that their vision is able to come to life. The artist starts forming the piece with clay to get a visual start of what they visualized. Once they've made any finishing touches plaster is applied to help preserve the piece. This was an educational film and I learned a lot about the hardwork that sculpting requires. I found the video to be inspirational and I now have a greater appreciation for the art of sculpting, and the individulas who decide to persure this craft.  Video #2 Who knew glass was made from sand? Mask making

Me I chose my mas costumes( carnival costumes) as inspiration because they are filled with so much color and detail I thought it would be fun to make a mask inspired by their colors. I'm from the Caribbean so it's common for us to get dressed up like this and basically have one big party outside with loud music food and people. I took colors from each of the costumes, even from my step sister's costume(the purple one) to color in the mask. We don't usually wear masks with our costumes but usually really extravagant or small and detailed head pieces; so i thought why not switch it up. I used shape,color, texture, and line to create my mask. My frien had a mask alreay made with what seemed like a smooth plastic texture which is why the mask looks glossy. I also used rhinestones, glitter, and a gold sharpie to color it in. I free handed my design and I'm pretty happy with how it came out.
